It's time to fill you in on my life!

Hello blogger world--

IM BACK! Im sorry for my long absence but finals, Christmas, and then a whole new semester has held me detained for the past..well month. This new year has been unbelievably CRAZY. Most of my days are back to back and Im at work when Im not in class or studying. But as He always does God has given me a renewed energy and ways to cope with my day to day stress..

1.Racquetball-one of the greatest stress eliminators of all time!! You just whack and slam out all your anger. Its perfect. I recommend it highly!

2.Tea-not only does it give you more energy with no crash but its a warm, soothing, and it smells wonderful! as an added bonus its like sooo much cheaper than coffee at Starbucks!( earl grey is my favorite)

3.Dance Party/Worship session-this is probably the most important on the list. On Tuesday's and Thursday's i have a good 2 hour break. My roommate is not in the room so i just turn up my David Crowder to dance, sing and worship pretty much just jam for Jesus-- i can go as crazy as i want and no judgement! Its SOO rejuvenating!

4.Friends- My group of girls and guys in the Bubble are wonderful and so encouraging!--but recently we have been setting aside time from 8-9 on Monday's to watch on of the best shows on TV.. CHUCK. Not only is this a funny show its good time for us to be together an fellowship!

Even with all stress Im happy and fulfilled. Im utterly blessed an I cant wait to see what God has for this semester i know that it will be wonderful and surprising!

I would love to know what everyone else does to de-stress their life..please share!

Mr.C's Theory on Woman

So as I have said before I work in Student Activities but what I havnt told you is what I do in the SAO. I sit at a desk and answer phones ( i know sometimes i cant hold down my excitment). However, I do love the people that work in the office with me. We are like a giant family and pretty much just sit around and talk. On Thursdays Im left all alone in the usually busy office with my friend Mr.C. We both usually sit in silence and do homework but on somedays he shares his theories on woman. And today i would love to share with you the one he told me last Thursday...

THEORY #1--"The larger a woman gets the louder she gets"
Now when he said this I of course was like thats not true. And he quickly said "well there are exceptions, but generally as a rule of tumb the larger, the louder"...then he continued to give me some examples to prove his point.

The sheer idea of this made me laugh out loud! Then for fun and cause I wanted to watch him squirm I asked him what category I fell into. With a quick look of panic he said "the VERY thin exception to the rule"

As Im telling this story it's continueing to make my day because Mr.C likes to think of himself as a "mans man", and when he told me he seemed like he had thought about this for a LONG time.
Then it struck me how much guys try to come up with some way to explain and understand how us Females work--

Anyone have any other theories by men that are completely off??

My list of grievances

Here are the things that have bothered me as of late:

1.Now I will be the first to tell you how much I despise Thanksgiving. However,it is still unaceptable that we went from Halloween straight to Christmas! The mall right outside the Bubble had their Christmas decorations up the day after Halloween. Seriously people Christmas starts in DECEMBER!!! Dear World, give Thanksgiving a fight chance. Always,Zadie
ps-Christmas music playing the day after Thanksgiving is NOT ok either.

2.Finals-need i say more

3.rain

4.meetings-i have had 2 meetings this week. Mainly about nothing! I have better things to do than discuss nothing for an hour

5.Internet in the Bubble is SOOO SLOW

ok thats enough for now..what bothers you?

...rain and boots...

Everyone here in the Bubble seems to be tired. Today i was walking to my Sociology class and there were these two kids asleep on the floor. Instead of laughing at them, i found myself wishing that i was them. All i could do was be jealous that they had time to sleep.

This week I have been tired, busy, and wet. A monsoon decided to hit the Bubble yesterday. It rained non stop all day, and just when you thought it would let up it rained harder.

As soon as i walked outside i regretted my decision to hold off on buying rain boots. I thought all this mess was over, clearly I was wrong. I pouted at all the people sloshing in puddles with their feet completely dry. I guess it would not be so bad if it wasn't fall. The leaves cover up where the major puddles are. I have decided to call them mother nature's booby traps because I stepped right in one! It was terrible..I need rain boots.

But I know that as soon as I buy them--it will be a drought again. Don't get me wrong I'm thankful for all the rain but Noah had the arc, and i need some cute rain boots.

a weekend of leadership

So this weekend i went on this trip with Emerging Leaders. Its kinda like a group of nominated "leaders" that go to my school there are like 100 of us and this weekend we had a "retreat" in nowheresville Alabama.

i say "retreat" because when you put a bunch of so called leaders in a group all together something clicks. Everyone goes into survival mode and it turns into a all out competion. We spent most of the time playing these team buliding games that people get way to involved in because they want to look good. Despite the point of the activity it doesnt team bulid it just makes people angry and frusterated with eachother.

i got very little sleep and left tired, stressed, and worked up it was a long 24 hour meeting where i got nothing productive done except spend some time with my SAO friends.
ps being in nowheresville AL outside made me miss camp soo much..

Cold

So i have this friend who dispises the cold! She complains about it constantly! Its probly the funniest thing ever. We walk outside and the wind blows and she is like "Oh My Gosh!, why is it soo cold?" Take in the fact that we go to school in Georgia and cold to us down here is like 60. But anyway this morning i was getting ready for work and i got this text from her that said:

Ice. My car is covered in ice.

I can only imagine her heartbreak when she saw her car and i litteraly laughed out loud. The point that to all us Georgians out there..its COLD!!! there are ice on the cars!

The funny thing is that when i read her text a line from one of my favorite songs All Creation by Chasen came on and it said "seasons change from day to day just to show us your beauty" and at once i was struck by awesome and beautiful God is! My advice is to go outside and look around at God's creation you wont be dissapointed!

Mitochondrial DNA and the Mexican Tap Dance

Today has been and is going to continue to be a very interesting day. Most of all its so beautiful outside and im stuck in the SAO! Its terrible, i just sit and look out the windows wishing i was outside. To explain the intersting part I'll start with a story..

Confession: i love biology and on tuesdays and thursdays i get to sit in a class and listen to the scientific Ellen talk about biology. Its wonderfull! Today was a particualarly great day because i got to learn soo much new information! All this new knowedge has made me very high energy. For any of you science nerds out there we learned about how the DNA in your mitochondria is exactly like your mothers and as an added bonus all your siblings!
Its true--aparently the sperm has nothing to do with energy and its all the egg!

Dear mom, thanks for giving me all my energy!!
Dear katelyn, we will always match on this one thing!

O PS--its my friend Lo's bithday!!! happy 19th girl i love you very much!
